Back-End Developer Intern

Developed and modified web APIs in PHP constantly by working with the mobile and web team using in Linux Environment (LAMP Stack).

Implemented new and modified existing features in the application as per requirements gathered by the product and design team.

Modified database (MySQL) schemas using rake migrations and designed a dataflow model for all features that existed & created.

Designed and implemented test plans and test procedures for new features in-app and participated in end-to-end testing.

Organized the work using JIRA and attended daily standups to communicate progress and goals.

Software Engineer - Cloud

Created & maintained fully automated CI/CD pipelines for code deployment and permissions, including branching, and tagging.

Owned the deployment pipeline and introduced branched git workflow which allowed to improve more testing

Restructured the back end (Python) to optimize query times down to maximum 20ms per query for each of the CRUD endpoints

Developed a Copy Paste module which parses the tab-delimited data from excel into multiple JSON objects and bulk post it to DB.

Worked hand in hand with the Chief Architect to design and roadmap a secure cloud environment.

Strategized and implemented secret management system to entire infrastructure using Hashicorp’s Vault to secure sensitive credentials exposed in the codebase within env files.

Collaborated and integrated Single Cluster ECS with a load balancer, which allowed services to communicate internally through service discovery leading to cost reduction by $6000 and scaled down services to handle same traffic patterns.

Enhanced and administered core infrastructure security scanning tool across multiple AWS accounts.

Kubernetes Microservice Architechture

Managed Configuration using Ansible to setup and destroy A) Jenkins Server with elastic ip B) Kubernetes Cluster using kops and automated the installation of metrics server, cluster autoscaler, Nginx ingress controller and Letsencrypt cluster certificate issuer C) three RDS instances running on separate VPC peered to Cluster VPC.

Deployed the pre requisites for the applications using helm charts such as Kafka, Zookeeper, Metrics Stack Prometheus, Grafana and Logging Stack EFK (ElasticSearch, Fluentd, Kibana).

Developed Helm charts to deploy 3 Micro services developed using Nodejs and containerized image is stored on a private Docker hub repository, installing deployments, services, Horizontal pod Autoscaler’s and Ingress resource, to establish path based routing.

Decoupled the front end microservice from other services by implementing Kafka streaming between then and used Jenkins to implement a CICD pipeline to build, push docker images to Docker Hub and perform rolling update style deployments on the Kubernetes cluster.

Cloud Computing and Network Structures

Developed a backend application with REST API architecture using NodeJS, ExpressJS, PostgreSQL, Sequelize ORM for Question and Answer System which is deployed on a set EC2 instance, used ELB to distribute traffic with autoscaling ASG to achieve high availability and scalable solution.

Automated QA testing and performed CI/CD pipeline using Github Actions & AWS CodeDeploy with unit test in Mocha.

Built custom AMI using Packer for EC2 and implemented the Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to create the resources and integrate them.

The Infrastructure of the application contains the following resources VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, DynamoDB, Route53, SNS, SES, AutoScaling Group based on CloudWatch trigger, Lambda Function, IAM, Security Group.

An authenticated user can post a question with/without a file and other user's can post an answer to that question. A User can Update/Delete the question or answer they posted.

Gas Alarm - Home Automation

Connected Devices - IoT Project

Developed an IoT-Architecture based solution using Python to measure home environment parameters and detect a Gas Leak using a Raspberry Pi and a Sense Hat.

The Sensor will collect Temperatue, Humidity and Gas data from the SenseHat of Raspberry pi and set to automate a Gas Detection in a given space for alerting and storing it in the cloud for further analytical purpose.

Implemented CoAP (Server & Client), MQTT Client to sense data via Raspberry pi and push data to Ubidots IoT Cloud Service, which stores data (JSON format) in its DB for actuation and future prediction.

Composed threshold variable for each parameter which is then subscribed using MQTT by the Actuators when a breach occurs, thus triggering the actuators action for each parameter and sends an alert to the subscribed Email through SMTP Protocol.

Integrated Alexa SDK into the Raspberry Pi and designed Alexa skills and lambda function using node.js in AWS to fetch the data from the cloud service and enabling the user to access these data’s

Built a Task Manager app to keep track of all tasks created by a user implemented using MEAN stack.

Implemented Node server at the backend with MongoDB as database & AngularJS for front-end client.

User can signup and login (JWT) into the app and create tasks within a list.

Hosted Website by Implementing Webserver, DHCP, DNS, ARP, NFS, IPsec VPN tunnel with firewall for improved security within same subnet

Designed and implemented a multi-location, inter-networking strategy for small and stable organization which had 5 locations. Built-Strategy includes OSPF with 85% IP redundancy, frame relay & RSTP.
